 Today we will be finishing Don't Know Much About History.

We will also start a documentary on the development of nuclear weapons.

Note, we will be going into the cold war next week. Your assignment with the documentary is write a paragraph about the main idea of the film and give 2-3 details examples of how this idea is developed. 

 Tomorrow we will need to look at a series of primary sources/key developments today:

1) The Truman Doctrine (go HERE)
2) The Marshall Plan (go HERE)
3) Eisenhower's Farewell Address

4) A statement from "The Association of Manhattan District Scientists" concerning the arms race (GO HERE )



 Wednesday - write a short essay (1/2  to 1-page) in which you compare Eisenhower's Farewell Address with Washington's Farewell Address.  You might have to research what Washington's farewell address was about. Think about the warnings that each gives.  How are they similar?  Different?
